Bose Earphones Charger Stand

This product was made to assist in organising my desk and create a product that can hold my earphones while charging them simultaneously, making them easy to access.

1:1 Scale Product

This is the model I 3D printed through the use of SolidWorks and Cura to get a 1 : 1 scale product to perform as intended. Holding my headphone case when they're not in use and being able to charge them at the same time.

Wrap Around View

This is the product in use with the headphone case in charge, showcasing the overall products design curvature. Making it a user friendly product with it angled so that the cable is to be less damaged over time and facing towards the user for ease of access.

Transparent Views

These images allow for us to see how the headphones can fit within the holder through Solidworks transparency feature. Allowing myself to make micro adjustments to the design to ensure the product works in the best way possible

Sketches

These sketches were done prior to the use of SolidWorks for each model so I would have inspiration and a basis of my designs. They are done to show depth and angles without the need of CAD.

Prototyping

Along the way of my final design I had created a few iterations prior to test

the idea in person, come us with new ideas, and to find any problems that could occur.

The first model is entirely made just to test for fitment and seeing how I can improve to ensure the product has a seamless feel when applying and removing the headphone case from the stand.

The second model is working with the successful interior model and adding a thicker wall to provide strength and to add depth to the designs and curves. It led to a problem where the cable would be bent at a near 45 degree angle which can break down a cables life.

In the final model I tackle the issue of the charging cables potential risks by tilting the design by 25 degrees which allows me to keep the product nice and short to provide balance when combined with the weight of the headphones. It then allowed for me to create some unique curves flowing from the back towards the front for an aesthetic appeal to it,
